Orientation & Integration

When you arrive

Generally, once in Canada, the student is welcomed by the host family.

Please note that the students are required to arrive a few days before the beginning of the semester or the summer camp.

On the first day, each student will be given an orientation session by the CEPEO.

Additionally, for those who are registered for the summer camp, school visits will be organized in order to allow them to get to know their new environment.

During your stay
with us

The CEPEO Liaison Officer gets to know each student personally and helps them integrate the school, with friends and at home.

She also organizes monthly activities offered free of charge, which are designed to facilitate and encourage the International students to integrate their French environment.

Mobile application

When the application process is finalized, you will receive an invitation to download our mobile application. It is a useful tool with handy information on it. You can refer to it for information concerning your arrival in Ottawa, what to do if you need to see a doctor, how the local transportation works, etc. You will also receive reminders for the activities we organize for our international students.

Voici quelques commentaires des élèves internationaux où ils nous racontent leurs expériences. Les mêmes questions ont été posées à chaque de nos trois élèves venus de pays différents, par contre [...]

  • In my home country, everything is small and compact, and here it is huge. There are big sports clubs, people have t-shirts with the name of their school and teachers are very nice. If you have a problem, you can go see them.

  • The cultural diversity that I found here is great! I did not know that Canada had plenty of people from everywhere, and the Canadian community is different than my country’s. It is very different. I love it!

  • Ottawa is a very safe city. I can take the bus and go where I want without any problem.

  • I think I am going to have fun here; I am going to adapt and have a good education.

  • Choose this program to learn new things, new cultures; to meet a lot of people from all over the world, it is a great!
